Travel up Hume Hwy, taking Goulburn Valley Hwy exit just after the bridge over the Goulburn River (approx. 8 km past Seymour exit). Travel north approx 20 km along Goulburn Valley Hwy to Nagambie, turning left into the Heathcote-Nagambie Rd. immediately behind the United Service Station. Travel approx. 16 km along Heathcote-Nagambie Rd to the Mt. Black Road turnoff on the right, about 300m past the signposted Murdoch Lane. Mt. Black Road is a dirt track and heads north into the forest. It is only signposted by a vertical inscription on a treated pine pole located next to the track entrance, so is easily missed. Travel up the Mt Black Road for approx 1.6 km, (ignoring the track that branches off to the left at the Mt. Black Flora Reserve sign) to the second gate on the right. It has Land For Wildlife and Trust for Nature signs on it, but when the gate is open, the signs are not so easy to see. This is the entrance to the property. The house is located a further 2 km down the driveway. Travel time from GPO Melbourne to property entrance approx. 2 hours.

If people wish to stay overnight on the Saturday, you can camp on the property or sleep on the floor of the shed or stay in a motel in Nagambie. Nominal charge of $5 per head if staying at the property. A portable toilet will be available.
